Another in the line of 183 Strip Mall Tex Mex restaurants. This location is the second for the Cedar Park-based chain.

I had the Two Enchilada + Crispy Taco combo plate. They have an extensive main menu with lots of combinations, plus a separate and less expensive lunch menu. I chose from the main menu since it had my favorite tex mex combo--enchiladas and a crispy taco. Was $7.99 (most of the lunch menu items are a dollar or so cheaper).

Chips and salsa came first. Chips were hot but were nothing special. Kind of thickish (I prefer thinner) and not homemade tasting. Salsa was ok. There were two types: one chunky, one pureed. Chunky was better, with fresh onion and cilantro in it.

Tons of food came with my order, and there was cheese everywhere you looked. Too much cheese. I agree with missmitzi's review on chowhound, "I love cheese and it was too much." The cheese enchilada was just more cheese (no onions detected in them) and was not that good. The beef enchildada was better--beef was well seasoned and there was less cheese overall (less on top, and none inside). Overall, the cheese-to-chili-gravy ratio was way off. More chili gravy and less cheese would have helped these enchiladas tremendously.

Rice was ok, plain (no veggies in it). Refrieds were not bad--pureed and pork-flavored, which I like. Crispy taco was not very good. Bland mass-produced shell, and the meat had some funky spice that did not sit well with me. Only ate half the crispy taco. The meal also came with another plate featuring a dome of guacamole (not bad), some pico de gallo (not bad) and some shredded lettuce obscured by...you guessed it...more shredded cheese. All in all it was a lot of food (so a good value quantity-wise).

Did not ask for a side of onions and jalapenos since I had the pico de gallo there, so not sure if they would charge for that. I likely won't find out because I experienced nothing that would draw me back.

good margaritas good barbacoa but when I go in for happy hour I don't want a whole plate of food just a taco. but overall they have got a great waitstaff and ok food. I would not recommend the carne guisada the gravy is way too thin and runny.
