My first attempt at lunching here was met by a closed restaurant, where I noted their hours--only open for lunch Friday and on the weekend. Very strange. So I came back Friday. Sauntered in, past the exposed-beef counters where you can point to the specific steak you would like, should you choose to go the steak route. That route seems to be their main focus--steaks. But who eats a steak for lunch? Not me. So I opt for the burger. As I make my way to my table, I am crunching peanut shells underfoot. The restaurant has just opened and I am one of two tables seated so far, so it is unlikely that the patrons lined the floor with peanut shells, leading me to believe that one of the staff's duties before opening is to scatter peanut shells all over the place, to presumably give the place an air of ye olde honky tonk joint. Free peanuts in whimsical kuntry bukets at each table are also cute and honky-tonkish.
So I sit down and am brought a basket of fresh rolls, which my waiter explains are coming out of the oven "every five minutes". That's pretty impressive. Rolls aren't bad, but the cinnamon butter they serve with them doesn't quite work for me. Maybe on toast at breakfast.
So I order a cheeseburger (cheddar, of course). It's a 1/2 lb burger, grilled, and not bad. Bun was nicely toasted and buttery. But the fries were terrible--doused with seasoning salt, leathery, dry, salty. I couldn't even finish them they were so unappealing (hard for a Fry to be unappealing to me). The fries were so bad that I was inspired to create a Facebook Cause: Ban Seasoning Salt on French Fries. Please consider giving of yourself (it takes a village) and joining this important cause.
Overall, good burger, but not great, terrible fries and strange hours. No need to go back. Sorry Willie!
I love it.

Texas Roadhouse has AMAZING rolls, and the chicken critters are just wonderful.

My family has been to the Texas Road House many times through the years and have always enjoyed their food. Really courteous service and they strive in every way to make you feel right at home. They have Peanuts on all the tables and the atmosphere is casual, anyone that likes great steaks, great baked potatos or great food with a very friendly atmosphere and very attentive waiters and waitresses should go here....
