Was passing through and stopped. Food was okay, reminded me of TGIF but not as good. Service was excellent, though so it made up for the lack luster grub.

One of my favorite places to go after a long night. Or one of those early mornings to get some work in and a great cup of coffee.
Great drinks! Good spot for catching up with friends.

Even though, most will agree Trudy's doesn't exactly have mouth watering food, there Mexican martinis are fantastic. Trudy's provides a fun, social atmosphere for friends to catch up. Great place for appetizers and drinks.

Trudy's is not a bad place, but not as good as Senor Gambrell gushes. It's more like a "We don't know where to eat. Hey, there's Trudy's, let's eat there" kind of place. A good, stand-by place if you're in the area.

Every time I go to Trudy's I think I just entered a time warp to the 1980's. Everything from the interior to the music. The food is ok. I like getting ranch with the chips. Everything else is pretty blah.

Well, I am a boring fellow. I go to tex-mex and get steak fajitas--thats it. I recall these fajitas as the best I've found so far in Austin. In addition, a server here once SUGGESTED, after I tediously explained that I didnt have any use for the guaco, cheese, sour cream, etc., that I ask for fajitas "a la carte" which is just the meat and veggies and tortillas.
Then, on multiple occasions, after guzzling my routine alarming amount of diet coke, the server has offered me a to-go CUP. This means a lot to someone who regards free refills as a fundamental human right. This is a refill for the road! They understand what it means to be a man.
Also the servers have always been friendly and cheerful, if you're into that sort of stuff.

I really enjoy Trudy's. I love trying their salsa variety sampler (though I can't remember the name of it). I also really liked their enchilada's. Fun atmosphere and wait staff has always been friendly.
